Single-Sole Source Determination
The essential characteristics of the requested in vitro and in vivo studies that characterize important factors on oral absorption and correlate vitro data with in vivo PK data in animals limit the availability to a sole source. The novelty includes experiment design, solid scientific knowledge and extensive experience in the oral absorption research field. Only this suggested source can furnish these requirements, to the exclusion of other sources, because the authentic experimental protocol, extensive lab experience and solid scientific knowledge to interpret experimental results.
Background/Description of Requirement

The objective of this study is to determine pharmacokinetics (PK) in bile duct cannulated rats and dogs for a novel drug candidate. In vitro assessment of key factors that will impact oral absorption will also be determined. Results from this study will used to correlate in vitro and in vivo ADME/PK properties and predict pharmacokinetic in humans.
