NIH National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) currently requires 4 channel LED arrays for 96 well plate format for invitro optostimulation. These 96 well LED arrays are required to optically stimulate our 3D neuronal model for optogenetics application. It’s a nonhazardous optical system which can be placed under the 96 well plate, without disturbing the cell structure inside and stimulated with a desired pattern of light pulses. Right now, we need two color LED, 470nm (blue) and 630nm (red) for our Channel rhodopsin (ChR2) and Chrismon-Red excitatory opsin. They have the option of 580nm (yellow-orange) LED too for inhibitory halo rhodopsin (eNpH) stimulation, which we will be needing later on as our project progresses. The Amuza company is the distributor of this product. The LED array driver requires for the controlling the power output of the LED and the pulse generator is for generating different paradigm of pulses, depending on the neurons of our interest.

Background/Description of Requirement

The Amuza company is the distributor of this product. The LED array driver requires for the controlling the power output of the LED and the pulse generator is for generating different paradigm of pulses, depending on the neurons of our interest.

Salient characteristics:

  • Must be an incubator compatible illumination system for optogenetics, photobiology, and photochemistry in microplates.
  • Must have 470nm (blue) and 630nm (red) for our Channel rhodopsin (ChR2) and Chrismon-Red excitatory opsin.
  • Must also have the option of 580nm (yellow-orange) LED for future use

Must include:

  • 1 each E50.100.04BR, LEDA4-BR Two color (470 nm, 630 nm) LED 4 section array for multiwell plates.
  • 2 each E55.100.04,   LAD-4 LED Array Driver-four section. For use with the LEDA4 LED array.
  • 2 each E00.160.04,   STO-4 Four channel Pulse Generator for Optogenetics.
