Vidrio Technologies is the only supplier of the vDAQ Data Acquisition Card. This is a customized component designed by the company that makes ScanImage, the software that is used to control the scientific microscope. The vDAQ card from Vidrio is designed for applications that require high bandwidth analog signal digitization combined with high accuracy analog output. The new board is required to interface properly between the computer and the data acquisition hardware in the system used to study retinal physiology. The vDAQ card provides state of the art Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) and a greater capacity for real time image processing. The vDAQ has 4GB of DRAM which provides more processing power. The vDAQ also synchronizes with the microscope software, ScanImage and supports all of the ScanImage capabilities.
