Single-Sole Source Determination
This is a sole justification because the equipment was originally purchased from Nikon. Currently, beside our unique system, there is no microscope on the premises that can perform all of the necessary functions. This type of screen can only be performed on a Nikon that has both high-resolution and high-speed in a wide field of view. These parameters will allow us to not only sample more efficiently but also more quickly. By using the unique open-source NIKON Elements module, we are able to perform on-the-fly image analysis allowing us to collect pre-defined phenotypes.

They have the expertise, tools and replacement parts that will be compatible with the machine if necessary. Also, they have service reps on campus so you can get things done quickly. For continuation of the project a service with Nikon is required. They deliver high performance and maintenance of the microscope. The purchase of the agreement will reduce the future cost which will be driven from the wear and tear nature of a system which is under continued use.
