Metabolon is an industry leader in the discovery of biomarkers through the use of metabolomics and lipidomics, powerful scientific approaches for the discovery and development of drugs and the early diagnosis of disease Through thousands of studies, Metabolon has developed the expertise, infrastructure and bioinformatics solutions to quickly and accurately extract the key findings from discovery metabolomics and lipidomics data including mechanistic insight for compounds, disease states, and discovery and development of drugs and the early diagnosis of disease.
Background/Description of Requirement

Metabolomics is best described as a comprehensive analysis of the metabolites in a biological specimen. The technology will enable our project to obtain a comprehensive analysis of the metabolites of cerebrospinal fluid in our research patients and healthy comparator volunteers. This information will be used to determine if there are patterns or networks of metabolite alterations between patients and controls. The generated information would also be used in conjunction with a wide array of other data and measurement already completed using computation biological analytic approaches, allowing for exploration and the development of new hypotheses.
