Single-Sole Source Determination
PMT Microwire Depthalon Electrodes perform all the functions required for clinical care while also
recording from individual neurons in the human brain. The laboratory requires this item for research purposes. PMT is the only vendor that is able to provide the equipment needed in mission critical experiments.
Background/Description of Requirement

The purpose of this acquisition is to procure implantable microwire depth electrodes so that we can record the activity of individual neurons in the human brain at the same time as clinical macro-EEG recording in mission critical experiments.  This requirement is issued on a sole source basis because the PMT Microwire Depthalon electrodes are the only equipment of their kind that can record from single neurons and macro-EEG concurrently.
