Single-Sole Source Determination
A tissue dissociator with heaters is a device that allows the disassociation of tissue into viable single cells. This is a semi-automated device that allows processing of up to 8 samples in parallel within a closed system, allowing subsequent culture of the disassociated cells. It is required by the IMDU for study of mitochondrial function and quality control of neural cells from mouse models of Parkinson’s disease. The gentleMACS Octo Dissociator with Heaters is the only instrument that meets these requirements. This is due to the design of the instrument that uses a unique rotor/stator system and heaters that allows fully walkaway semi-automated dissociation of tissue.
