Computer workstation must include all hardware and software components. This one meets the components needed. This replaces the old one that failed.
Background/Description of Requirement

The purpose of this acquisition is to purchase one custom configured computer workstation that will be used by the NINDS Viral Immunology and Intravital Imaging Section for 3D/4D image analysis applications.

The National Institutes of Health is the nation’s leading medical research agency and the primary Federal agency whose mission is to seek fundamental knowledge about the nature and behavior of living systems and the application of that knowledge to enhance human health, lengthen life, and reduce illness and disability. The Viral Immunology and Intravital Imaging Section within NINDS is a laboratory that studies immune responses that develop in the brain and spinal cord in response to infections, injuries, tumors, autoimmunity, and neurodegeneration.  The laboratory uses cutting edge imaging approaches to visualize these immune responses in real-time.  Analysis of these data require high end PC computer workstations that run 3D / 4D image analysis software.  Purchase of a new computer workstation is required to replace one that recently failed.
