Our research has identified groups of brain cells that respond to injury. Some of the cells may be contributing to the brain’s ability to adapt and help with recovery after the injury. We propose to identify the brain cells that communicate with and may drive those changes. This requires more single nucleus RNA sequencing of additional brain regions. The results from these experiments will be combined and compared to previous experiments. We will use the same kits, core facilities and bioinformatics analysis to compare directly new results to previous findings.
