Milli-Q Water Purification Systems are the only ultrapure water systems used within Building 35 Pod 2B at NINDS. This is to ensure that all medical laboratory research in Pod 2B uses the same consistent water purification when conducting experiments. This ensures the reproducibility of experiments; using a different system would hinder the ongoing work of the lab. The system provides an ultra-purified source of water originating from tap water. The Direct-8 is the most similar system to the other three systems in Pod 2B, where the new system will be installed.
Background/Description of Requirement

A water filtration system is required for performing molecular biology experiments, including RNA sequencing, qPCR, immunochemistry, and in situ hybridization, to be housed in the newly renovated space.
