Single-Sole Source Determination
Market research has shown that the NiU manual upright microscope fits the CDNS needs and considering that Dr. Wray’s lab already possesses additional modules (objectives, filter cubes, light source) from Nikon, the purchase of a Nikon microscope ensure the compatibility of those modules on the new microscope and allows a substantial saving of money due to unneeded purchases of additional modules.
Background/Description of Requirement

This order is to purchase a new microscope body equipped with a fluorescence module to replace an old microscope in our lab. Our microscope objectives are also purchased from Nikon.
