STATEMENT OF WORK (SERVICES)

GENERAL INFORMATION

Title of Project:

Replacement and installation of damaged accessory components to Leica Stellaris 8 confocal microscope system.

Statement of Need and Purpose:

The Leica Stellaris 8 Confocal microscope system is utilized routinely by the Ngai lab members and requires replacement of accessory parts that were damaged by building flooding. These parts, including a 15 socket outlet, 6 socket outlet, control panel, chiller, and curved monitor, are required to maintain this research equipment in optimal condition. Therefore, the replacement and installation of these parts is required for continued lab operations.

Background Information and Objective:

The Leica Stellaris 8 confocal microscope system provides state of the art imaging capabilities that are required for the investigations ongoing in the NINDS Molecular Neurobiology Section, Ngai laboratory. Some accessory components to the Leica Stellaris 8 were damaged during catastrophic flooding inside the building where it is housed. Exact replacement of these components is required to maintain this research equipment in optimal condition.

Period of Performance:

The proposed period of labor is 7 consecutive hours on a business day between 5/15/2023 and 05/30/2023.
