-The sensor incorporates microlenses and a full pixel height deep trench isolation for crosstalk suppression resulting in an excellent MTF.
-camera provides a large image circle by using a high-resolution 10.5 MPixel image sensor with a square pixel size of 4.6 um.
-Pixel size: 4.6 μm x 4.6 μm
-Thermoelectrically cooled hermetically sealed camera head with both Air and Water Cooling capability.
-An extremely low dark current and a readout noise of 0.8 electrons is achieved by thermal stabilization and active cooling of the sensor.
-Camera has both Air and Water cooling capability that is unique to PCO camera.
-The camera offers high frame rates of up to 120 fps and transmission via a fiber optical link.
The High-Speed Camera and Cooling System are components required for a new single objective light sheet (SOLS) microscope being assembled. These components are manufactured by Excelitas Technologies Corp in Germany and
Israel, will be used to support the mission of the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Strokes (NINDS).
NINDS has a requirement for a single objective light sheet (SOLS) microscope is a significant advance in light sheet
(LS) technology and is at the very cutting edge for 3D live cell imaging applications. This request includes various components and/or tools that will be used in the assembly of the microscope. The camera will be used to build a new confocal microscope which will be an important tool in the project “Local membrane protein synthesis in axons”. Confocal images will be obtained in fresh axonal samples to track the local expression of membrane proteins during long incubation periods.
