The Neuroscience Interest Group (NIG) of the International Society of Addiction Medicine (ISAM) has launched a new series of talks by neuroscientists. Speakers will share their personal stories and experiences about how they decided to invest their scientific life in the field of addiction science, focusing on how their academic career journey can inform others. The goal is to support and recruit a new generation of addiction neuroscientists around the world. The first four speakers will be Hamed Ekhtiari, M.D., Ph.D., Laureate Institute for Brain Research; Rita Goldstein, Ph.D., Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai; Judson Brewer, M.D., Ph.D., Brown University; and Jean Lud Cadet, M.D., NIDA Intramural Research Program. The effort is cosponsored by the International Brain Research Organization. To register or nominate a future speaker, email ISAM.NIG@gmail.com.
