Coming January 15th: our next NIDA HIV Seminar, featuring Dr. Serena Spudich who is the Gilbert H. Glaser Professor of Neurology, Chief, Division of Neurological Infections and Global Neurology, and Director, Center for Brain and Mind Health at Yale University.  Dr. Spudich’s clinical and translational research explores effects of HIV and SARS-CoV-2 infection in the central nervous system (CNS), focusing on establishment of local viral infection and CNS injury during acute infection, effects of interventional strategies on viral pathogenesis and HIV persistence as well as viral neuropathogenesis.
