HRP also funds the complementary Avant-Garde Award Program for HIV/AIDS and Substance Use Disorder Research to support potentially transformative studies by investigators at all career levels, and hosted the Avant-Garde Award Symposium in May 2022 to highlight recent award recipients and their research.
