The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) is recruiting for a Government and Congressional Relations Specialist in the Office of Science Policy and Communications (OSPC). OSPC’s mission is to lead NIDA’s strategic efforts to inform public health policy and practice by ensuring the institute is the trusted source for scientific information on drug use and addiction.
The Government and Congressional Relations Specialist reports to the OSPC Deputy Director, with responsibility for providing liaison activities for NIDA with government, Congressional and/or public health officials; communicating information about scientific research programs and accomplishments; monitoring and analyzing legislative actions impacting biomedical research; and collaborating with key stakeholders to exchange biomedical research information.
