Dr. O’Cleirigh principal areas of research interest focus on the development of empirically supported, cognitive behavioral, treatment models to address substance use and mental issues that may increase risk for HIV exposure and infection among gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men.
Dr. O’Cleirigh’s research also focuses the development of integrated treatment models to address substance use and mood and anxiety disorders that interfere with adaptive disease management with particular emphasis on HIV.
