The NIMH FMRIF currently operates five (5) MRI scanners that are used by researchers primarily in the Intramural Research Program (IRP) at NIMH and NINDS, but also other institutes at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), to conduct a variety of basic science and clinical research MRI scans, on healthy volunteers and patients.
Keeping these scanners running smoothly and stably is a core responsibility of FMRIF. As part of this mission, FMRIF seeks to procure parts and labor to repair a UPS / power conditioner, that supports one of its MRI scanners, ensuring the scanner’s stable operation.
Independently and not as an agent of the Government, the Contractor shall furnish all the necessary services, qualified personnel, material, equipment, and facilities, not otherwise provided by the Government as needed to perform the Statement of Work below:
The Contractor will provide the following services for Eaton 9390-160 UPS / power conditioner (Serial #EE261CBB07):
- Inspect and test replacement components, capacitor and fan, against any defects to ensure compatibility and functionality.
- Replace capacitor and fan (if applicable other minor components) of Eaton 9390-160 (Serial #EE261CBB07). Replacement items should be brand new Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) parts or equivalent.
- Test/verify that replacement was completed successfully.
- Dispose old components and packaging upon completion of services.
The Contractor should have performed a site survey of equipment to determine the extent of work and parts needed to return a Eaton 9390-160 UPS / power conditioner into full operational mode, or include the cost of such a survey in their proposal.
The contractor shall:
- Provide labor from personnel having experience working with Eaton 9390-160 UPS / power conditioners and similar units.
- Provide and have personnel replace all internal components (capacitors, fans, power supply boards, and air filters) in an Eaton 9390-160 UPS / power conditioner.
- After replacing all components, bring unit out of by-pass into active / operational mode.
- Remove all old and spent components from the site.
Interested parties may identify in writing their interest and capability in response to this requirement. Responses to this notice shall contain sufficient information to establish the interested parties’ bona-fide capabilities for fulfilling the requirement and include: unit price, list price, shipping and handling costs, the delivery period after contract award, the prompt payment discount terms, the F.O.B. Point (Destination or Origin), the Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNS), the Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), and the certification of business size. All offerors must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) www.sam.gov.
All responses must be received by closing date and must reference the announcement. Responses may be submitted electronically to the attention of the contract specialist. Fax responses will not be accepted.
All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
