Brand-Name Determination: This notice of proposed acquisition is posted as an intent of a proposed contract to action for the Brand-Name supply specified in this solicitation. The Brand-Name only determination of the requirement is based on market research and compatibility with existing Government-owned equipment and maintaining continuity of research as only one Brand-name source is capable of satisfying agency requirements.
Description of Requirement:
The National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) seeks to obtain consumables for the existing Government-owned Gut Box system. The NCATS’ Therapeutics for Rare and Neglected Diseases (TRND)/ADME program’s mission is to encourage and speed the development of new treatments for diseases with high unmet medical needs. TRND stimulates therapeutic development research collaborations among NIH and academic scientists, nonprofit organizations, and pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies working on rare and neglected illnesses.
This requisition is to procure consumables for the gut-box that is one of the essential parts of this system. The consumables need to be replenished to assure our experiments and tests continue producing accurate and consistent data. Specifically, the following items listed by part number, description, and quantity are required:
