Single-Sole Source Determination
Scientists from the Genetics of Neuronal Signaling Unit are beginning next generation sequencing experiments to better understand single cell gene expression in regions of interest. These sequencing experiments will be conducted at the NHLBI core NovaSeq sequencing machine. In order to prepare the samples in a compatible, reliable, and robust manner, we are purchasing kits to prep the sample libraries. This 16 reaction kit is additionally unique as it would allow preparation for all samples in the set experiment, thus ensuring reagents are common within experiment. 10x genomics offers this robust solution and is the company used by our collaborators on campus. Given the equipment and reagents from our collaborators that we will be using for the library prep, and in order to maintain consistency across samples, the use of the 10x genomic library prep kit is the only compatible solution.
Background/Description of Requirement

GNSU requires a state of the art, single cell, indexed library preparation kits for single cell RNAsequencing experiments compatible with Illumina seqeuencing platforms.
