Parkin is the leading autosomal recessive cause of Parkinson’s disease. We identified that Parkin is part of a pathway that turns over mitochondrial protein through a process known as mitophagy. However, the extent to which this pathway is responsible for mitochondrial protein turnover in vivo is not known. The procurement of the mouse feed will allow for metabolic labelling of mice so that mitochondrial protein turnover can be measured by LC-MS/MS based proteomics.
The request is for (1) Mouse Express L-Lysine (13C, 99%) Mouse Feed that must be deliverd within 6-8 weeks after production.
