The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) is the lead federal agency for research on mental illnesses and one of the 27 Institutes and Centers that make up the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The mission of NIMH is to transform the understanding and treatment of mental illnesses through basic and clinical research, paving the way for prevention, recovery, and cure.
To carry out this mission, NIMH conducts and supports biomedical and behavioral research, health services research, research training, and health information dissemination with respect to the causes, diagnosis, treatment, management, and prevention of mental illnesses.
The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) requires services to design and facilitate a Hybrid Work Training Program with its plans to have a hybrid work environment. With workspace left idle for the past two years and most meetings held virtually, the Office of Management (OM) wants to support supervisors and staff with skills and tools to enable a successful hybrid work environment.

Background/Description of Requirement
Independently and not as an agent of the Government, the Contractor shall furnish all the necessary services, qualified personnel, material, equipment, and facilities, not otherwise provided by the Government as needed to perform the Statement of Work below: Consulting Services: The Contractor will design Hybrid Work Training Program which will be for both NIMH Intramural and Extramural staff on how to approach planning, designing, facilitating, supporting and attending hybrid meetings. Trainers will incorporate NIMH’s technology capabilities (e.g., Teams, Zoom) to teach staff how to best leverage them successfully. Audience: approximately 200 staff total, broken into multiple sessions (no more than 25 staff per class) Training Services: The Contractor will facilitate training sessions. The training sessions topics should provide an overview of facilitation presence (how presence impacts outcomes, maintaining energy, reading the audience, and pivoting when necessary) and designing virtual meetings (design and wireframe the expected experience, collecting information from the group on needs, utilizing design aspects to plan for the meeting and planning on developing others). All sessions will be held virtually and with each session not exceeding two hours. Sessions should be conducted in June 2022 in order to support staff’s return to the physical workplace. DELIVERY OR DELIVERABLES The Contractor’s deliverables will include but not limited to: • Design and develop training courses. • Facilitate training sessions for approximately 200 staff total, broken into multiple sessions (no more than 25 staff per class). • Provide tools demonstrated during the training sessions. • Final report detailing the work performed. REPORTING REQUIREMENTS All deliverables and final report will be submitted at the end of the contract to the Project Officer, Kristine Allred. 05/11/2022 --9:20 AM This is a competitive requirement.
