The Technical and Business Assistance (TABA) program aims to help small businesses identify and address their most pressing product development needs.
TABA Funding Program:
The TABA funding program provides applicants with additional funding that can be used to obtain technical and business assistance from vendors, including services related to intellectual property, market analysis, regulatory affairs, and reimbursement planning. The following additional funding amounts may be requested:
- Phase I applicants - up to $6,500
- Phase II applicants - up to $50,000
Within the application, applicants must label the requested costs for TABA funding as “Technical Assistance” on lines 8-10 under Section F, Other Direct Costs. The following information must be included within the budget justification: name of the vendor(s), detailed description of the technical or business assistance the vendor(s) will provide, and the expected benefits and results of the technical or business assistance.
