Scientific opportunity and public health responsibility have no borders for the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), a global leader in research on drug use and addiction and accompanying health and social consequences. Through its International Program, NIDA fosters international collaborative drug use and addiction research, training, and scientific exchange.
One important opportunity for researchers involved in drug use and addiction research is the Distinguished International Scientist Collaboration Award (DISCA) or the companion U.S. DISCA opportunity. Candidates for the DISCA/USDISCA are highly qualified researchers proposing to conduct a research exchange visit which can produce such outcomes as new investigative findings, a research grant proposal, or scientific publication. A competitive application will include an innovative collaboration between a non-U.S. senior researcher and a U.S. NIDA-funded senior researcher.
Potential applicants and their research partners can learn more on the DISCA/USDISCA exchange opportunity webpage. There is no application deadline, and applications are reviewed as they are received.
