Registration is now open for the HEAL Prevention Initiative (HPI) annual meeting which will take place on November 10th from 1:00-5:30pm ET. The meeting will focus on priorities in the advancement of prevention strategies to address opioid and other substance misuse and provide HPI research updates. The HPI includes the HEAL Prevention Cooperative, a group of 10 research projects and a coordinating center working to develop and evaluate preventative interventions for youth ages 15 to 30. These interventions will reach diverse and vulnerable populations, including youth experiencing homelessness, AI/AN youth, youth seen in the emergency department, youth involved in the justice system, and families involved in the child welfare system.  The HPI also includes NIH/NIDA grantees conducting research on risk for opioid misuse, health equity and opioid-related policy, and dissemination and implementation of prevention services.
