Additional Information

Welcome! The NIDA Genetics and Epigenetics Cross-Cutting Research Team (GECCRT) is a multi-institute working group with members from the intramural and extramural program staff from NIDA, NIAAA and NIMH. The goal of the GECCRT is to support the use of genetic and epigenetic tools to uncover new genetic, biochemical, and epigenetic pathways that contribute to substance use disorders. The GECCRT is hosting a multi-day annual meeting, attended by ~250 extramural and intramural investigators who will present their newest studies through talks (Zoom Webinar) and poster sessions (GatherTown). Join us on three consecutive Wednesdays: April 27th, May 4th, and May 11th.

The GECCRT will select up to 22 Abstracts for oral presentations and we encourage oral presenters to attend the meeting in person. Oral presentations will be made available through Zoom or another platform. Abstracts not selected for oral presentations may be invited for in-person poster presentations. Abstracts should focus on the genetics and epigenetics of substance abuse in humans or model systems. We encourage submissions across all career stages (e.g. graduate students, postdoctoral scientists, junior, and senior faculty).
