US adolescents who vaped nicotine reported a wide range of reasons for the behavior, according to a NIDA-supported study published in Pediatrics. The study analyzed data from the NIDA-supported Monitoring the Future survey. The data in this graphic show the prevalence of reasons for vaping nicotine reported by U.S. adolescents in eighth, 10th, and 12th grades from 2021-2023.
