NIDA International Program Director Dr. Steve Gust chairs day one of the 2021 NIDA International Forum. The first session reviews graduate, professional development, and technology transfer programs to promote the adoption of evidence-based innovations and educate addiction researchers and treatment providers. The second session looks at the short- and potential long-term impacts of COVID-19 on substance use around the world, using data from the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction and the NIDA-supported Global Study of Stress and Resilience in the Face of COVID-19.
