The NIDA International Program is pleased to host an upcoming webinar, Best Practices for Mentoring and Collaborating With Research Trainees, on Wednesday, July 16, from 1:00 to 2:15 p.m., ET. Mentoring plays a vital role in building the next generation of drug use and addiction researchers, offering essential guidance, training, and support. Through mentored experiences, trainees gain the skills and confidence needed to build productive and impactful research careers. Experienced global researchers will share their strategies for effective mentoring across borders. They will offer insights on fostering strong mentor-mentee relationships, navigating challenges, developing collaborative networks beyond the mentor relationship, and supporting international trainees in their professional growth.
This webinar will be part of a series hosted by the NIDA Research Training Program this summer, developed to inform participants about research training opportunities supported by NIDA and NIH. Other topics that will be covered in the series include training opportunities available through the NIDA Intramural Research Program, and opportunities linked to the fields of integrative neuroscience and addiction treatment and recovery services. All webinars in this series will be hosted on the Microsoft Teams platform and accessible via one link. Bookmark the summer webinar series Microsoft Teams link. There is no fee to attend. Additional details will be shared in the coming weeks.
