Who We Are
The Office of Research Training, Diversity, and Disparities (ORTDD) is comprised of the Office of Research Training (ORT) and the Office of Diversity and Health Disparities (ODHD).
The Office of Research Training (ORT)
The Office of Research Training (ORT) provides research grants to meet the Nation’s need for research in the areas of drug use and addiction science. The Office of Diversity and Health Disparities (ODHD)
The Office of Diversity and Health Disparities (ODHD) helps undergraduate and graduate students, post-baccalaureates, postdoctoral fellows, and early-stage investigators from diverse backgrounds, including those from underrepresented groups, launch their independent research careers through various programs, outreach, education, and other research training initiatives. As part of NIDA’s Strategic Plan, ODHD is working to identify and develop approaches to reduce health disparities of vulnerable populations.
