NIDA Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship alumni representing 28 countries participated in the eighth International Society of Substance Use Prevention and Treatment Professionals (ISSUP) conference held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, in person and virtually from May 12 to 18, 2022. The group joined Virginia Commonwealth University Humphrey Fellowship Program Director J. Randy Koch to exchange information.
Throughout the conference, the Humphrey alumni actively engaged in various workshops on drug policy, the transformation of substance use disorder treatment services during COVID-19, and much more. They also participated in several training courses, including Women’s Intervention for Substance Exposure, Treating Adolescents with Substance Use Disorders, and Enhancing Motivational Interviewing Skills.
