Once you’ve identified a relevant funding opportunity, you can access the application forms and begin preparing the application for submission through Grants.gov. You must use one of these submission options:
- Use the NIH ASSIST system to prepare, submit, and track your application online (this is the most common submission method used by companies).
- An error-free application must be submitted via ASSIST by the due date with a time stamp on or before 5 p.m. in the submitting organization’s time zone. Detailed instructions on using ASSIST to submit your application can be found at the NIH ERA site.
- Use an institutional system-to-system (S2S) solution to prepare and submit your application to Grants.gov and eRA Commons to track your application. Check with your institutional officials regarding availability.
- Use Grants.gov Workspace to prepare and submit your application and eRA Commons to track your application.
