Once you’ve identified a relevant funding opportunity, you can access the application forms under the “Required Application Instructions” section and begin preparing the application for submission through Grants.gov. You must use one of these submission options:
- Use the NIH ASSIST system to prepare, submit, and track your application online (this is the most common submission method used by companies).
- An error-free application must be submitted via ASSIST by the due date with a time stamp on or before 5 p.m. in the submitting organization’s time zone. Detailed instructions on using ASSIST to submit your application can be found at the NIH eRa site.
- Use an institutional system-to-system (S2S) solution to prepare and submit your application to Grants.gov and eRA Commons to track your application. Check with your institutional officials regarding availability.
- Use Grants.gov Workspace to prepare and submit your application and eRA Commons to track your application.
